New Low-Cure, Phthalate-Free Ink System
International Coatings™ is excited to introduce its new series of Low-Cure, Phthalate-Free plastisol inks for textile screen printing: UltraMix® 7900 Low-Cure Color System.
UltraMix® 7900 was developed in response to growing customer demand for an ink that is more eco-friendly yet offers enhanced performance and the ability to be printed on a wider range of substrates. International Coatings™ rose to the challenge by delivering an energy-saving, high performance ink that cures at a low 275ºF (135ºC).
“The UltraMix® 7900 meets the increasing global demand for environmentally friendly inks with its low-cure, Phthalate-free properties” stated Stephen Kahane, President of International Coatings™. “Dryer temperatures can be turned down and printers can realize a 20% energy saving.”
Because of its lower curing temperature, UltraMix® 7900’s offers a printing solution for heat-sensitive materials that are prone to bleeding or dye migration when subjected to conventional oven or dryer temperatures. The ability to cure at lower temperatures provides greater control in preventing fabric shrinkage. Where spot drying is required, UltraMix® 7900’s quick flash times and very low after-flash tack are ideal.
The UltraMix® 7900 Low-Cure Color System is formulated for the same high print performance our customers have come to expect. It has excellent low-bleed properties, is easy to use and mix, is very creamy and short bodied, has a soft hand and has low tack for ease of printing. This ink can be used for printing through high mesh counts and for faster production speeds.
As part of our Color System line, UltraMix® 7900 is specifically formulated to provide easy simulations of PANTONE® color standards. The 7900 color primaries are formulated to achieve higher opacity of mixed colors. International Coatings™ was one of the first textile screen printing ink companies to develop a PANTONE® color-matching system.
