Coming Soon: PVC-Free HD

|
International Coatings premiered its new PVC-Free High Density ink at the recent SGIA show.
We are currently beta-testing the product, but initial reports have been overwhelmingly positive!
The new ink is creamy and smooth, produces a soft print with a lot of stretch and is also phthalate free. |
Brand New! Paramount White
At SGIA 08 we showcased our brand new 7041 Paramount Ultra Low-Bleed White. Paramount’s outstanding bleed blocking capabilities and other attributes, such as printability and opacity, make it our best ever white ink and quite possibly – in our opinion – the best white ink in the market.
7041 Paramount White’s superior attributes include:
- Ultra low bleed
- Phthalate-free formulation (PF)
- Excellent opacity
- Very fast flash
- Low cure (300°F to 325°F)
- Ideal for low and high mesh counts
- Non-ghosting
- No bleaching agents
- Creamy viscosity
The 7041 Paramount White is in stock now. Try it today! You will be impressed. |

NEW Opaque Base & Sentri Clear
Introducing our new 7050 Opaque Base and 3816 Sentri Clear:
- 7050 Opaque Base is a ‘Phthalate Compliant’ opaque mixing base that can be used in many of the popular mixing systems. 7050 Opaque Base creates more opaque colors and can be printed through a wide variety of mesh sizes.
- 3816 Sentri Clear is a soft hand ‘Phthalate Compliant’ mixing base that can be added to any product to dramatically reduce the hand. Sentri Clear can also be used as an underbase to help lock down fibers and control fibrillation. 3816 Sentri Clear can be printed through a wide variety of mesh sizes.

Phthalate and Lead Compliance
|
For years, International Coatings has been pro-active and in many instances, even ahead of regulations governing certain chemicals as it steadily moved towards a more eco-conscious product line. Some of our most popular products were initially formulated with either no phthalates or without what are now restricted phthalates. All International Coatings inks, except for one or two products designed for limited and restricted use, meet current standards for lead and other heavy metals. |
Shortly after California and federal regulations restricting the use of certain phthalates in infant toys and child care articles were announced, International Coatings began converting all of its product formulas to eliminate any question as to whether and which of its products can be used to meet government regulations and the requirements of major retailers.
Unless otherwise specified, all 2009 International Coatings standard ink product formulas now comply with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CSPIA) regarding lead and phthalate content and the Consumer Product Safety Act, Title 16 CFR Part 1303, Part 1500.135 regarding restrictions on heavy metals.
Once we work down our inventory of products that were formulated ahead of the restrictions (which are OK to use for any application other than infant toys and child care articles), we will no longer offer ink products that contain any of the restricted phthalate plasticizers. In the meantime, please be sure to specify when you order if you require phthalate compliant inks now. And look for the ‘phthalate compliant’ sticker on the containers.
In addition to our full line of ‘Phthalate Compliant’ inks, International Coatings offers several eco-friendly ink lines that are either Phthalate-Free, or PVC and Phthalate-Free. |

GEN IV Eco-Friendly Inks
Recently, our National Sales Manager, Kent Hudson, enlisted the help of Aurum Organics to assist the Music Makers Relief Foundation, a North Carolina based charity helping Southern music pioneers. Aurum donated organic t-shirts and then using GEN IV inks, Mirror Image of Pawtucket, RI printed a highly detailed black and white photograph on black shirts.
These unique T-shirts will be sold to raise money for the organization. International Coatings is proud to be part of this project and the shirts came out beautifully. |

|
Gen IV Series inks are PVC-Free and Phthalate-Free, and offer many of the same attributes of traditional plastisol inks – great opacity, ease of use, smooth viscosity, and printable on automatic equipment. Most amazingly, these high-solids water base inks don’t dry easily on the screen. And they can be used for both direct and transfer printing.
Order a GEN IV Kit today and be prepared to love this product! |

A Special Thank You!

|
International Coatings would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the students of the Screen Printing Class at Pasadena City College for contributing their special artwork, creativity, passion, and talents to create two banners for our booth at SGIA!
They combined different special effects techniques using various inks from our line, and combined them with foil, caviar beads, and even appliqué techniques.
The result was fantastic!
Thank you so much! We look forward to more amazing creations from you in the future.
