Features

UltraMix® RFU 7500 Series Pantone® Color Matching System is a member of our FlexCure™ product line, designed for versatile curing. FlexCure™ inks can be cured at temperatures as low as 275°F (135°C) or up to the standard 325°F (163°C), offering greater flexibility in production.

Create special or standard colors by using International Coatings’ UltraMix®, Pantone® color matching online software.

Well suited for fine detail and halftone printing using finer mesh counts, while improving production efficiencies.

Spot Flashing

The RFU 7500 Series spot dries quickly with minimal after-flash tack. The dwell time depends on the spot dryer used, and in some cases, reducing the heat may be necessary to prevent the ink from becoming tacky. When spot drying, only the surface of the ink should be partially fused or gelled -- just dry to the touch with no lift-off, but not fully cured. Fully fusing the underprint can lead to inter-coat adhesion issues with subsequent layers. Final curing should always take place in the dryer.

Important Information

In order to achieve the best color matching results using the RFU 7500 Series Pantone® Color System, the specified system primaries must be used. Using colors other than the specified primaries will produce inaccurate matching results.

Colors produced using the RFU 7500 Series Pantone® Color Matching System will vary in opacity. Colors will reproduce best on white or light colored fabrics. Colors may appear metameric (not match well) when viewed under different types of lighting.

Adding too much reducer or other additives to the RFU 7500 Series inks may cause curing/fusing or increased dye migration problems.

Use an underbase print when printing RFU 7500 Series inks onto dark fabrics. Use 741, 7014, 7022, 7038, 7041 or 7042 white as an underbase ink. To achieve a softer hand and faster production speeds, print underbase ink through finer mesh counts (230 to 305 t/in or 90 to 120 t/cm mesh).

Test dryer temperatures and wash test printed product before and during a production run.
