FX Gel Gloss Clear 3809 will spot dry, with a very low after flash tack. Dwell time is dependent on the spot dryer used. In some cases, you may have to lower the heat of the spot cure unit because too much heat may actually make the ink tacky. When you spot dry, you are only partially fusing or gelling the surface of the ink. The ink should be just dry to the touch, with no lift off, but not totally fused. Totally fusing the underprint may cause inter-coat adhesion problems with the inks printed on top. Final fusing or curing should occur in the dryer.
FX Gel Gloss Clear 3809 should be printed right from the container without modification. Use as a final overprint (print-flash-print method) to produce a clear, glossy wet look. Do not print product wet-on-wet.
Make sure FX Gel Gloss Clear 3809 is completely cured for best appearance. To maintain maximum gloss level when using FX Gel Gloss Clear 3809, allow printed area to cool before stacking garments. Gloss levels may diminish if garments are stacked hot. For best durability, it is recommended that the printed garment be hand washed or machine washed (delicate cycle) inside out and dried with low heat. Do not use bleach or dry clean. Do not iron printed area.
FX Gel Gloss Clear 3809 is not a low bleed product. Not recommended to be printed over some inks or low bleed underbases that contain blowing agents. Pre-print and test all fabrics before a production run.
FX Gel Gloss Clear 3809 can be used to give a HD or raised look. Use a 200 to 600 micron capillary film to achieve this.
Test dryer temperatures and wash test printed product before and during a production run.
