When the opportunity arose to showcase our AXEON™ non-PVC inks in combination with a fundraising event, we immediately tapped our artist-in-residence – David Edward Byrd. We asked him to create an original fundraiser design for us. He immediately said "yes" and created a design for two of his favorite pet rescue charities, Flying Fur and (flyingfuranimalrescue.org) and Pet Finder (petfinder.com).
The design and the fundraiser were a tremendous success! To re-create David’s print as close to the original design as possible, we printed it using 10 screens! Good thing that AXEON™ non-PVC inks print just like plastisol. They don’t require special emulsions or other equipment, and can be printed wet-on-wet, just like regular plastisol inks. Cotton Heritage graciously donated their amazingly soft cotton shirts. Anatol offered to print half of the shirts on their equipment live at the tradeshow, with the help from Stevie and his team from Moment Screen Printing.
